PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding unit improved in operability when setting paper sheets and capable of preventing breakdown of a paper sheet size sensor by a shock even in the case wherein the paper feeding unit is inserted into an image forming device body by an operator with excessive operating force. SOLUTION: This paper feeding unit 10 possible to be loaded with paper sheets of different size is provided with guide members 20 and 30 for regulating paper sheet end surfaces in response to size of the stacked paper sheets, an actuator 50 for a sensor to be moved with the guide members 20 and 30, and the paper sheet size sensor 60 for recognizing paper sheet size on the basis of contact condition with a pushing surface 52a provided in the actuator 50 for the sensor.
