PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow fence which contributes to reduction in snow accumulation on a road etc. in winter, and relief of visibility obstruction, wherein the snow fence facilitates switching from a used state to an unused state and vice versa, and maintains a low altitudes from the ground when housed, to thereby contributes to traffic safety and beautiful appearance. SOLUTION: The snow fence has supports 10 for ascending/descending along vertical sheath pipes 2, and a snow guard board 20 arranged on an upper portion of the supports 10, for folding/expanding along the supports 10. According to the snow fence, the snow guard board 20 is expanded according to ascent of the supports 10, and folded and housed according to descent of the supports 10, by abutting a lower portion of the snow guard board 20 on an abutting arm 4.
