The device includes an indicator and cameras (5,9) for taking pictures through using infrared radiation in a visible spectral region. Light radiation (1) is calibrated and emitted towards the cameras via an optical component (2). The optical component is arranged for emitting light towards one camera (5) using incident infrared radiation (3) and for emitting predominant infrared radiation to the other camera (9). A dichroic lens or a dispersive lens can be used as the optical element. The camera can be a highly sensitive infrared camera, a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera or a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) camera. An LED source, infrared laser source or a gas-discharge lamp can be used as infrared radiation source. An independent claim is included for the vehicle including the vision enhancement device.
