A device facilitating flexible positioning of plugs in types of flush-mounted and surface-mounted outlets has two guide rails and a rotatable cover. The guide rails are arranged relative to one another so that they form a circle, without touching one another, and the diameter of the circle corresponds to the spacing between the limbs of the plug. The guide rails are covered at the top by rotatable cover, shaped as the inner space of the socket outlet and is centrally seated on an axle and joined to the remainder of the housing. The cover is available over two insertion holes which are positioned over both guide rails. The distance between both insertion holes corresponds to the spacing between the guide rails, and the conventional plug is plugged into these holes and can be moved in either direction within the guide rails. The rotation of the cover and shape of the guide rails enables any positioning of the plug within this socket outlet.
