A method for the service deregistering based on the IP access, could cause the deregisting process by the user terminal, the AAA server or the IP gateway, and delete the dependent service registering information stored in the AAA server, the user information storage unit and the IP gateway during the deregistering process. The invention discloses three different solutions about causing the deregisting process by the different entities. Using this invention, the user information storage unit can timely get the information that the current user terminal could not use 3GPP network service, and the information registered in the IP gateway by the user terminal can be updated according to the changes of the user access network state. Therefore, when the other network entity requests for the address information of the user terminal, it does not return IP gateway address to avoid the error during next process.
