The system has a target area information generating section to generate target area information which indicates coordinates of a target area on a sensing surface. A projection control section (130) controls a lens shift section based on intersection between diagonal lines of a calibration image and between lines of the area so that the intersection between the image lines moves to the intersection between the area lines. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a projector comprising an image processing system; (b) an information storage medium storing a computer readable program causing a computer to perform an image processing method; and (c) an image processing method.
