OPTICAL LAMINATE AND OPTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which can stably and efficiently form a glare shield layer and can control optical characteristics with higher precision even when triacetyl cellulose having a cross section of a ship bottom shape and stripes is used as a transparent base material.

SOLUTION: An optical laminate is constituted by forming the glare shield layer on the transparent base material via a smoothing transparent resin layer for smoothing a surface of the transparent base material. The transparent base material consists essentially of triacetyl cellulose, thickness of the smoothing transparent resin layer is controlled within a range between 0.5μm and 2.0μm and further the smoothing transparent resin layer is directly formed on the transparent base material via no other layer. The optical element equipped with the optical laminate is also provided.
