<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and information processing method in which an image of low resolution can be converted into an image of high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided an extraction means 110 for extracting intra-predictive information contained in a bit stream of a video CODEC and a conversion means 200 for converting image data into an image having resolution higher than that of an original image, and the conversion means performs interpolation processing of pixels of the image data based on the intra-predictive information to convert the image data into an image of high resolution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
