<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder that has improved resolution, has a long lifetime, and can be constituted compactly. <P>SOLUTION: The optical encoder comprises a main scale having a first lattice scale for reflection; an index scale having a second lattice scale for transmission, arranged facing the main scale; a light-receiving section arranged at the rear side of the index scale; and an emission section 30b having a light-emitting element arranged at the same side as that of the index scale. A third lattice scale 22 for transmission is provided at the emission section 30b, and the third lattice scale 22 is film-formed, simultaneously as with an electrode 16 of the light-emitting element 10a on the surface of the light-emitting element 10a for constituting the emission section 30b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
