PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic single-component toner, capable of stably forming a toner thin layer on a sleeve without causing development leaks (random dark spots) on an OPC drum in a magnetic single-component development jumping system, with a latent image holding body being an organic photoconductor (OPC) and a ten-point median height roughness Rz on the sleeve surface of a developer carrier is relatively small, and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: The magnetic one component toner for electrostatic latent image development is used in a magnetic single-component development jumping system, in which the latent image holding body is an OPC and the ten-point median height roughness Rz of a sleeve surface of a developer carrier is 2.0-6.0μm. The magnetic single-component toner has an inorganic metal oxide added externally to the surfaces of toner particles including at least a binder resin, a magnetic powder and a wax added internally, wherein a volume resistivity of the magnetic powder is 1.0×10<SP>4</SP>-1.0×10<SP>7</SP>Ωcm.
