PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element narrow in a half-value width of absorption and excellent in color reproduction and an image pickup element (preferably a color image sensor) and to further provide an image pickup element high in a photoelectric conversion efficiency and excellent in durability.
