PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element sufficiently excellent in emission efficiency and color purity, and high in reliability, and an indicating device constituted by using this. SOLUTION: In an organic electroluminescent element 3 constituted by putting at least light emitting layer 503 between a lower electrode 4 as an anode and an upper electrode 6 as a cathode, the light emitting layer 503 is emitted in green light by containing fluoranthene dielectric. This fluoranthene dielectric is introduced into a light emitting layer 50 as a guest. And, the light emitting layer 503 contains an organic material, for example aryl anthracene dielectric, in which fluorescence spectrum has an overlap with an absorption spectrum of the fluoranthene dielectric. And, an indicating device 1 is constituted by arranging this organic electroluminescent element 3 on a substrate 2 as a green light emitting device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
