PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a ceramic electronic component capable of effectively preventing an external electrode from being peeled with a simplified and inexpensive method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a ceramic electronic component 10 comprises (a) a process A of forming dummy electrode patterns 13, 14 on the surface of a ceramic base member 2; (b) a process B of laminating a ceramic green sheet 2 on the dummy electrode patterns 13, 14; (c) a process C of forming external electrode patterns 5, 6 on the ceramic green sheet 2; and (d) a process D of obtaining a ceramic electronic component by calcining the ceramic green sheet 2, the dummy electrode patterns 13, 14, and the external electrode patterns 5, 6. In the method, metal particles M involved in at least one electrode pattern among the dummy electrode patterns 13, 14 and the external electrode patterns 5, 6 are embedded in the ceramic green sheet 2, and are brought into contact with the metal particles M involved in the other electrode pattern by pressurizing the ceramic green sheet 2 in the processes B and C.
