PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a job load imposed on a user by automatically discriminating the attribute of a small-sized optical disk and starting a system corresponding to the attribute. SOLUTION: This invention provides a small-sized optical disk automatic discrimination start system provided with: a read means (1) that reads information stored in a small-sized optical disk; an identification means (2) that identifies the attribute of the small-sized optical disk on the basis of a format of information read by the read means (1); a processing means (3) that has execution sections each corresponding to the attribute of each small-sized optical disk and allows the execution section corresponding to the attribute of the small-sized optical disk to reproduce/execute the small-sized optical disk; and a control means (4) that controls each section above.
