PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic transfer paper free from defective traveling even when the paper is used immediately after seal breaking under an environment at high temperature and high humidity. SOLUTION: An electrophotographic transfer paper manufacturing method is provided by which a cast coating layer is formed by coating one side of a base paper with coating liquid mainly constituted of pigment and binding agent, sticking a wet coating layer to a heated mirror-finished surface by pressure, and then, drying the paper. The coating liquid contains high molecular silicone having a number average molecular weight of 600,000 to 900,000, and also, the paper is held and humidified in air conditioned at 20 to 80°C and 50 to 90%RH for 20 seconds or longer after drying.
