PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a freezer-refrigerator provided with a cooler for a refrigerating chamber and a cooler for a freezing chamber in parallel to selectively supply a refrigerant, with simple constitution. SOLUTION: This freezer-refrigerator is provided with the cooler 10 for the refrigerating chamber which cools the refrigerating chamber 2 and has no header; the cooler 11 for the refrigerating chamber which cools the refrigerating chamber 3 and has a header 12 at the upper part; a refrigerant passage switching means 7 for selectively supplying a refrigerant only to the cooler 10 for the refrigerating chamber, only to the cooler 11 for the freezing chamber, and to both coolers 10, 11; a defrosting heater 15 mounted to the lower part of the cooler 11 for the freezing chamber; and a control part for controlling the refrigerant passage switching means 7 according to the temperature of the refrigerating chamber 2 and freezing chamber 3 to supply the refrigerant to one of the coolers 10, 11 during normal cooling operation, and controlling the refrigerant passage switching means 7 to supply the refrigerant to both coolers 10, 11 immediately after the end of defrosting operation performed by the defrosting heater 15 of the cooler 11 for the freezing chamber.
