PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest manufacturing method by which the structure of a surface material and a mold is simplified. SOLUTION: Since just an opening 7 having a cylindrical foldover part 9 is formed on the surface material 2 and there is no need of forming a cup holder container housing part as before, the surface material 2 is easily manufactured. Also, since a recessed part 8 is formed of nesting 21 and the nesting 21 is detached after molding, there is no need of forming a projection part on the mold 29, the shape of the mold 29 is simplified, and the mold 29 is easily manufactured.
