OPTICAL TRANSMITTER APPARATUS IN RING TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

Nodes (optical transmitter apparatuses) wherein the upper limit of the number of the nodes, which can automatically organize a squelch table to be prepared in advance in a BLSR system, can be expanded. When a squelch table is prepared, information of an ad node, a drop node or the like, which are transmitted and received by use of a squelch data link, is not the node ID itself but the HOP count from the ad or drop node, so that the conventional need for transmitting and receiving two types of information, that is, the source node ID and the destination ID can be eliminated. This can expand the number of bits that can be used for determining nodes and hence the number of nodes that can automatically organize a squelch table.
