1321185 Phosphorus-containing benzisoxazole derivatives BAYER AG 6 Sept 1971 [7 Sept 1970] 41386/71 Headings C2C and C2P Novel compounds of Formula I where R is C 1-4 alkyl, and R 1 is C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy may be prepared by reacting 5-bromo- 3-hydroxybenzisoxazole, in the presence of an acid acceptor or in the form of a salt, with a compound of Formula II where Hal is a halogen. 5 - Bromo - 3 - hydroxybenzisoxazole may be prepared by oyclizing the appropriate bromosalicylhydroxamic acid with thionyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine. The compounds of Formula I have insecticidal, acaricidal, nematocidal and fungicidal properties and may be used as the active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. |
