<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood capable of maintaining comfortable indoor environment even with the mass generation of odor and steam by allowing deodorization and dehumidification of the circulating type range hood while having a long-life deodorizing function without limiting odor substance to facilitate maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: In the range hood 1 discharging steam, odor, smoke, and the like generated in cooking, a deodorizing mechanism 6 using a photocatalyst represented by titanium oxide is provided in a duct 2, and ultraviolet irradiation to the photocatalyst is performed by electric discharge from a high voltage electric discharge means 13 while controlling electric discharge conditions according to humidity in the air detected in a suction port 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
