<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling management system and method for drawing attention from a vehicle which is trying to pass in a vehicle traveling lane installed in a tollgate without finishing charge settlement by announcing that the settlement procedures have not been completed, and for preventing any contact accident or damage from occurring when the vehicle passes due to its contact with a contact object such as a blocking bar. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle traveling management system 10 is provided with road side communication equipment for performing charge settlement through inter-vehicle communication with a vehicle 11 entering a vehicle traveling lane 14a and a vehicle passage reminder device 16a installed ahead of the vehicle traveling lane 14a for drawing attention from the vehicle 11 side when the vehicle 11 passes. The vehicle passage reminder device 16a is provided with a means for generating vibration to the vehicle 11 side when the tire of the wheel of the vehicle 11 is brought into contact with the road surface so that forcible vibration can be prevented from being generated to the vehicle 11 side passing after the charge settlement through inter-vehicle communication, and that forcible vibration can be generated to the vehicle 11 side passing without the charge settlement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
