<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing, by a solution casting film-forming method, a cellulose ester film useful particularly for a protective film for a polarizing plate and a retardation film, which method prevents calcium and magnesium compounds from precipitating on the surface of the casting support and prevents the generation of deposits (fouling) due to the build-up of these and produces with very good productivity the cellulose ester film having good quality and suitable for the protective film for polarizing plates. <P>SOLUTION: After the preparation of the dope of a cellulose ester, the dope is brought to a temperature by 5°C or more lower than the boiling point of the solvent and cast on a support within 24 hours. To the space near the surface of the support that moves infinitely and is endless, surface from the web stripping point to the casting point where the dope is again cast, there is supplied the wind controlled to a water dew point by 2°C to 10°C lower than the temperature of the support wherefrom the web has just been stripped, and the time until the dope is again cast on the support after the web has been removed from the support is set to be 1-5 seconds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
