<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment method for introducing wastewater (A) into a biological wastewater treatment tanks (2 and 3) filled with activated sludge containing microorganisms to decompose a pollutant contained in the wastewater (A) with high volumetric efficiency by the microorganisms in the activated sludge. <P>SOLUTION: In this wastewater treatment method, a suspension, wherein inorganic particles with a center particle size of 100μm or below and a specific gravity of 1.2-3.5 are suspended in a polymeric flocculant solution, is added to the biological wastewater treatment tanks (2 and 3). For example, the addition amount of the suspension is 1-200 kg in terms of the inorganic particles per the volume of 1 m<SP>3</SP>of the biological wastewater treatment tanks (2 and 3).
