PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a degree of freedom in design of external shape without emphasis of a coupling portion of two housings in a portable phone where two housings overlapped in the thickness direction are coupled to be opened and closed by swinging these housings around the rotating axis orthogonally crossing in the thickness direction. SOLUTION: The portable phone comprises a first housing 2 and a second housing 3 which can be overlapped in the thickness direction. One end of the first housing 2 is provided with a project 7 projected from the opposing surface 2b, while one end of the second housing 3 is provided with a recessed notch to which the project 7 is arranged. The project 7 is coupled to rotate within the notch around the rotating axis L orthogonally crossing the thickness direction. Moreover, two housings 2, 3 are formed almost in the same shape at the circumferential edge of the opposing surfaces 2b, 3b to gradually reduce the width of at least one end thereof.
