PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input terminal which can input characters without moving an inputting finger even at the time of allocated series characters input to an identical key. SOLUTION: A definite key or a cursor movement key is located at the position which can be operated with a finger other than a finger which pushes a character input key. The character input terminal has a character input key 101, a direction input key 102, and a decision key 103. A character decision key 104 is arranged at the side face of the surface in which the character input key 101 is arranged, and can be depressed by the finger (for example, a middle finger) different from a finger (for example, a thumb) which depresses the character input key 101. Thus, even when this continues and inputs allocated characters into the identical key of the character input key 101, the character decision key 104 is pressed with the finger different from the finger for depressing the character input key 101 without moving the finger which presses the character input key 101.
