PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a browsing system that sets a deadline for access from recipients of draft data and that, if there is no access for a predetermined period of time within the deadline, sends a confirmation message to each recipient to urge browsing; and its control method. SOLUTION: The destinations of the draft data and a deadline for browsing the data are set. The draft data are created on the basis of draft images and stored in a predetermined storage position in a document management system 102. Based on the recipients and the storage position, a URL via which the draft data can be accessed is created for each destination and reported. Each client accesses the draft data using the URL.
