PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method for improving the corrosion resistance of a porous anodic oxide coating film, and to provide an anodized and sealed member obtained by using the sealing method. SOLUTION: The method for sealing the anodic oxide coating film comprises the steps of: forming the porous anodic oxide coating film on the surface of a metal; and then pressurizing a sealing liquid in a state of having immersed the porous anodic oxide coating film in the liquid. In order to increase a pressurized effect of the sealing liquid, the sealing method preferably comprises the steps of: forming the porous anodic oxide coating film on the surface of the metal; then leaving it in an atmosphere with a reduced pressure for a predetermined period of time, or immersing it in the sealing liquid and leaving it in an atmosphere with a reduced pressure for a predetermined period of time; and then pressurizing the film-formed metall in the state of being immersed in the sealing liquid.
