PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer mirror for a vehicle and an angle detecting device for properly detecting a tilt angle of a mirror surface of the outer mirror. SOLUTION: This mirror is provided with the mirror surface, a male screw part 102, first resistance part 302 and second resistance part 304 provided on the surface of the male screw part 102, a nut adjust 108 for tilting the mirror surface by performing an advancing/retreating operation in an axial direction of the male screw part 102 and electrically connecting the first resistance part 302 and the second resistance part 304 by being brought into contact with the first resistance part 302 and the second resistance part 304 in a part screwed to the male screw part 102, and a signal outputting part 124 for outputting a signal according to the tilt angle of the mirror surface based on voltage generated between one end of the first resistance part 302 and one end of the second resistance part 304.
