PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease of an image quality even if a head is set slant to its movement direction. SOLUTION: The printer is equipped with a transfer mechanism which can perform the transfer action of transferring a medium by two or more different transfer amounts, a plurality of nozzles which perform the moving discharging action of discharging ink towards the medium while moving relatively to the medium in intervals between the transfer actions, a signal output part which outputs a signal to be a reference for discharging the ink by the same timing from the plurality of nozzles, and a controller which changes an output timing of the signal from the signal output part according to the transfer amount of the actually performed transfer action every time the transfer action is carried out.
