Method involves examining of vehicle (1) during still position, if vehicle starts rolling second value of brake pressure, higher than first value, is required. It is examined, whether vehicle arrives in still position and parking brake device (5,8) is actuated during the given time span, which starts with rolling, if the rolling of vehicle is determined and if it is not then vehicle arrives in still position.
