The method involves receiving a mechanical unit in a current resistor of a eddy flow measuring instrument by separation of turbulence such that flow of measuring medium is determined. A mechanical oscillation of paddle is measured by using light route in terms of frequency, by a photo sensor unit (5), where the measurement is processed as a digital signal. An inductive scanning takes place by the measurement of the oscillation. An independent claim is also included for an eddy flow measuring instrument with a measuring tube.
