<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification method with which decryption and alteration are difficult to be performed and to prevent beforehand use of a false recording material container with the method in the identification method for identifying whether or not the recording material container is a genuine product. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for discriminating a type of the recording material container, the recording material is stored, the recording material container having a first identification code is set in a recorder, the first identification code is read in the recorder, an identification sheet in which a second identification code is recorded is read in the recorder and the type of the recording material container is discriminated based on relation between the first read identification code and the second read identification code. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
