PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the angle of a camera to a subject without time and effort. SOLUTION: The camera measures distances in a plurality of distance measurement areas within a photographic image plane, determines the tilt of an imaging plane relative to a subject based upon a plurality of distance measurement values obtained by the distance measurement, and indicates the direction for the correction of the angle of the camera based upon the result of the determination. The indication is given, for instance, by providing a superimpose display within a finder image plane. In the case where areas A3, A6, and A9 on the right column is illuminated, it indicates that the right side of the camera needs to be pulled towards a photographer. By correcting the angle of the camera according to the instruction, the photographer can easily make the imaging plane and the subject plane parallel to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
