<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape controller for rolling mills with which the flatness of a rolled sheet is accurately measured over the entire width during rolling and the roll diameter of a rolling work roll is accurately controlled over the entire width corresponding to the measured results even in the case contact width x is smaller than a half of the width B of a rotary rotor with which the end part of a rolled stock is brought into contact. <P>SOLUTION: The shape controller is provided with: a shape measuring roller 50 for measuring the accuracy of a shape in the width direction of a rolled sheet 1 which is rolled with a rolling mill 40 in measuring positions of a prescribed pitch B; cooling units 60 which are arranged at the pitch B in the width direction of upper and lower work rolls 42 and have a plurality of jet nozzles 62 for jetting a coolant to prescribed cooling positions of each work roll; and a controller 70 for controlling the amount of the coolant of each jet nozzle on the basis of the accuracy of the shape measured with the shape measuring roller. In the case the contact width x is smaller than the half of the width B of the rotary rotor, the rotary rotor and both the supporting shaft and the jet nozzle are moved approximately the half of the pitch B in the width direction so that the measuring positions of the shape measuring roller and the cooling positions of the jet nozzles are always corresponded to the same positions in the width direction of the rolled sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
