PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer image data created by an imaging device correctly to a storage device or the like at a high transfer rate, while keeping circuit size small and costs low. SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided having an imaging element 101 for creating image data consisting of analog signals; an AD converter 102 for converting the image data created by the imaging element from analog to digital signals; and a timing generator 103 for temporarily stopping, while the imaging element outputs the image data for one line, a driving pulse for driving the imaging element and a clock for driving the AD converter.
