PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reporting device for drastically reducing possibility of a reset operation by a user after automatic recovery from a gas detection state compared with a conventional way. SOLUTION: The device comprises a detecting part 3 for detecting one or a plurality of detection objects; a determining part 6 for determining whether a reporting signal is outputted or not based on the output signal of the detecting part 3; an optical reporting signal output part 14 for outputting an optical reporting signal in an optical output state, which is recognizable by a human visual sense, as one kind of the reporting signal, based on the determination result of the determining part 6; and an optical reporting signal control part 18 for performing control to superimpose prescribed information on the optical reporting signal by changing the optical output state of the optical reporting signal into an unrecognizable state by the human visual sense.
