PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from leaking by regulating the compression dimension of a sealing member used for a hot water connection joint of a water heater to surely obtain sealing performance even if the member is used in a high temperature hot water supply path. SOLUTION: In the hot water connection joint 14 of the water heater comprising a hot water supply port 7 and another member 10 sealed and connected by compressing the sealing member 9 by fastening a nut 13, water leakage caused by a fluctuation in compression and the deterioration of the sealing member 9 is avoided and the reliability of the hot water heater is enhanced by providing a compression dimension regulating means 17 to regulate the compression of the sealing member 9 to a predetermined compression ratio.
