PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing water, in which the blood sugar level can be lowered by drinking ingestion thereof. SOLUTION: Soft water production units (10, 12) packed with an ion exchange resin (32), an ion production unit packed with tourmaline mixture (46) composed of tourmaline and aluminum oxide and a rock accommodation unit packed with rocks (54) having negative ions are connected in this order in series to each other and water is passed in the sequence of ion exchange resin (32), tourmaline mixture (46) and rocks (54) having negative ions. The thus obtained water contains hydroxyl ions (H<SB>3</SB>O<SB>2</SB><SP>-</SP>), weak energy and negative oxidation-reduction potential in high proportion. The blood sugar level can be lowered to substantially the same level as attained by insulin by the ingestion of this water as ordinary drinking water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
