PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely again engage a furrow side clutch at the time of changing the direction of a machine after few furrow transplanting is completed in a rice plant transplanter in which a plural row-planting type seedling apparatus where the plurality of transplanting mechanisms are arranged in parallel opposing to the lower part of the seedling platform 2 is liftably connected to the rear part of the travelling machine, and which is equipped with a plurality of furrow side clutches for independently blocking the power transmission to the transplanting mechanism and additionally the tranplanter with a selective operation means for selecting manual operations for engaging or unengaging these furrow side clutches. SOLUTION: This rice plant transplanter resets off the selection by the selection operation means, when the travelling machine body 3 has been detected to be steered exceeding the setting in a set state where the selective operation means manually selecting the engaging and disengaging of the furrow side clutches 73 is selected and operated so that a part of the furrow side clutches 73 are disengaged.
