摘要

In a liquid crystal display employing a pixel dividing system, each of a plurality of pixels is provided with three subpixels (10a-10c) arranged in a row direction or column direction, the subpixels (10a-10c) have different brightnesses in a gradation display status, and the subpixel (10a) having the highest brightness among the three subpixels is positioned at the center. Thus, unnaturalness in displaying an image having a straight line boundary is eliminated and the gamma characteristic is further improved.
