<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a destination story designating operation control system for an elevator capable of smoothing operation of the elevator and managing security by automatically designating destination story in response to possession of a tag and in response to the possessed tag. <P>SOLUTION: Transmission/reception between a controller CTL arranged inside the elevator and a specified tag T possessed by an elevator user, in which personal information such as designation of destination story or the like is input, is performed by optical signal and radio wave, or the only optical signal.
