<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow pigment having a hue having high clarity suitable for an inkjet recording, also having high fastness of recorded materials and excellent in preservation stability, and an ink composition containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This ink composition contains a water-soluble azo compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>is H or a 1-3C alkyl; Y<SB>1</SB>is carboxy, methyl or phenyl; Y<SB>2</SB>is hydroxy or amino; Y<SB>3</SB>, Y<SB>4</SB>are each independently H, sulfonic acid or carboxy, and at least one of the Y<SB>3</SB>and Y<SB>4</SB>is sulfonic acid or carboxy; A is an aliphatic amine residue, an aromatic amine residue, hydroxy or an azo compound residue; and B is an aliphatic amine residue, an aromatic amine residue or hydroxy], or its salts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
