PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden screw capable of preventing seizure and enabling smooth screwing-in. SOLUTION: In this wooden screw 10 composed of a round shaft 12 having a tip which is formed with a screw thread 13 spirally at the outer periphery and pointed and a head 11 provided at the rear end of the round shaft 12, a small diameter shaft 14 is provided at the tip of the round shaft. By providing the small diameter shaft 14 at the tip of the round shaft 12, a space is formed around the outer periphery of the small diameter shaft 14 by screwing the wooden screw 10 into wood 20, and chips 21 generated by screwing-in are stored in the space to suppress the increase of rotation resistance by the adhesion of the chips 21, prevent seizure, and enable smooth screwing-in.
