PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed apparatus where the side board of a base body is reinforced in using the inner part of the base body as a storage part by arranging a floor board in the base body so as to be rotatable. SOLUTION: The bed apparatus comprises the box-shaped base body 1 where the upper surface is opened and the inner part is defined as the storage part; the floor board 3 whose one end in a longitudinal direction is connected to link mechanisms 4 which are provided on the inner surfaces of one end part in the longitudinal direction of the paired side boards 5 in the base body, so as to open the upper opening of the base body from a clogged state, and which is provided so as to be turnable in a raising direction; a mattress 23 placed on the floor board so as to be removable; gas springs 21 which are provided by pivotally attaching one end and the other end to the base body and the floor board, so as to energize the floor board in a rotary direction to open the upper opening of the base body with the use of the energizing force; reinforcing members 11 which are provided along a width direction in the longitudinal middle parts of the base body and whose both ends are connected onto the inner surfaces of the paired side boards of the base body; and shielding members 26 which are provided so as to allow one side surface to face each other on the inner surface of one end part in the longitudinal direction of each side board where the link mechanism is provided in the base body, and where each one end is connected to the end part of the reinforcing member, and whose other end is connected to the inner surface of the end part in the longitudinal direction of the base body.
