PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable operability by suppressing a step of torque due to a sudden change of EGR amount. SOLUTION: A surge deterioration index value SFILD is calculated based on a variation in the rotation of an engine (step 8), and the presence or absence of surge deterioration is determined by comparing the surge deterioration index value SFILD with a determination threshold ELSL (step 13). On the other hand, an estimated EGR amount ESTMEGR is calculated (step 3), a correction amount ELCFB to a target EGR amount TGEGR is calculated based on a determination for the presence or absence of the surge deterioration (SFILD≥ELSL), and it is determined whether the correction of the target EGR amount TGEGR is allowed or not based on the varied amount DEGR of the estimated EGR amount ESTMEGR (step 5).
