PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock which can be attached without the shaving of the door-end surface and inner bone of a thin stile/rail of a stile/rail door, which can be attached without a decrease in the strength of the stile/rail, and which has sufficient locking strength, because of the absence of a cylinder lock capable of being attached to a door end-side stile of the stile/rail door using the thin stile/rail, capable of being shut/opened from outdoor and indoor sides, and capable of being attached without decreasing the strength of the stile/rail. SOLUTION: This inter-grip rim lock is adopted for being mounted without the shaving of the door-end surface. The backset of a cylinder shaft and the backset of a thumb-turn shaft are changed so that the inter-grip rim lock can be attached without the shaving of the inner bone even if it is attached to the thin stile; a dead bolt is moved by means of the thumb-turn shaft; and the cylinder shaft is connected to the thumb-turn shaft via a gear and arranged ahead of the thumb-turn shaft. The cylinder can be attached without the shaving of the inner bone by making the cylinder-side backset smaller, and the strength of the dead bolt is secured by making the thumb-turn-side backset larger.
