PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window which enables an opening and closing operation of a sash and the passage of a resident to be smoothly performed by preventing a step from appearing in a split part of a member constituting a top surface of a sill, even if the member is detachably constituted in a split manner. SOLUTION: Split rail sections 30 are connected together by means of a connecting member 39, and the connecting member 39 is locked to a sill body 124, so that the upward displacement of the rail section 30 can be regulated. Thus, the step does not appear in the split part, even if an unbalanced load from the sash or the resident acts on the rail section 30. This enables the sash to be smoothly opened and closed, without making a sash roller hook on the step, in the opening and closing operation of the sash, and enables the resident or a wheel chair to smoothly pass on the sill 12 without making the resident or a person in the wheel chair feel uncomfortable, even if the resident or the wheel chair treads on the rail part 30.
