PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an enlargement and a cost increase, while providing sheet press-down force as a mechanism so that a preceding sheet is not disturbed in a loaded state by a succeeding sheet even if the sheet loading number increases. SOLUTION: This sheet loading device 500 has a sheet loading part 300B for loading the sheet, a spring 507 for pressing the sheet loaded in the sheet loading part to the sheet loading part, a lever 502 and a friction member 501. The lever 502 presses a sheet bundle SB to the sheet loading part 300B by the spring 507. The lever 502 releases pressing of the sheet by being rotated by operation of a plunger 505 operated via a link 504. When the uppermost preceding sheet S1 of the sheet bundle SB on the sheet loading part 300B is likely to be pushed out by the succeeding sheet S2, easy-to-bite-in force S is generated in the lever 502.
