PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion type die head capable of coating the surface of a substrate to form a high precision uniform coating film using a low viscous coating liquid and capable of rapidly carrying out the preparation before coating because air in a manifold is rapidly released. SOLUTION: The extrusion type die head is constituted so that the coating liquid is discharged from a slit to a base material and applying the coating liquid on the base material, the slit length is uniform in the slit direction, the cross sectional area of the ends of the manifold is larger than that of the center and an air releasing hole is provided on end parts.
