PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat with air bags by which conditions of a user such as respiratory arrest during sleep can be reliably detected and the result of detection can be used for stimulus for recovering the breath of the user. SOLUTION: The mat 1 with the air bags has a mat body 2, the air bags (3 or 13) which are fitted to the mat body 2 at a position corresponding to the chest position of the user when it is used and which extend toward both ends in the width direction of the mat body 2, a pressure detection means (pressure sensor 11) which detects the pressure inside the air bags (3 and 13) and outputs pressure detection signals, and an arithmetic control means (arithmetic control circuit 7) which receives the pressure detection signals and obtains change in respiration of the user from the change in pressure.
